Battery charger
Blue Power IP22
High level of performance
With an efficiency of up to 94%, these chargers generate up to four times less heat compared to the industry standard. Also, after the battery is fully charged, power consumption drops to less than 0.5 watts, which is about five to ten times better than the industry standard.
Adaptive 6-stage loading algorithm
The Blue Power charger is characterized by its microprocessor-controlled, adaptive battery management. Adaptive means that the charging process is automatically adapted to the type of battery usage.
Storage Mode: Less maintenance and aging while the battery is at rest
The storage mode is activated whenever there is no discharge within 24 hours. The float charge voltage is then lowered to 2.2V/cell (13.2V for a 12V battery) to minimize gassing and thereby prevent corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week the voltage is increased to the gassing voltage level. This achieves a type of equalization charge that prevents electrolyte stratification and sulfation – the two main causes of premature battery failure.
Also charges Lithium-Ion (LiFePO4) batteries
LiFePO4 batteries are charged using a simple constant current phase > constant voltage phase > float charge voltage phase algorithm.
The settings NIGHT and LOW
If the device is in NIGHT or LOW mode, the output current is reduced to a maximum of 25% of the nominal output and the charger works absolutely silently. The NIGHT mode ends automatically after 8 hours. The LOW mode can be ended manually.
Protection against overheating
The output current is reduced when the temperature rises up to 50°C, but the Blue Power charger does not fail.
